We believe that brit milah is beneficial and even if it were not, it is a mandatory part of our culture.  What you must understand is that those cultures КТО practice female circumcision feel exactly the same way.  They hold to it just as strongly and do not want to be told what to do by outsiders КТО do not share their values.  If you wish to end the practice, you must start by understanding that they see it as beneficial and not harmful to women.  In their eyes, it is just like male circumcision.  Both are needed before children are considered proper adults.

We oppose female circumcision because it harms women.  Those КТО oppose male circumcision in the United States oppose it because they believe it harms men.  They are motivated by this belief, not by hatred of Jews or Muslims.  In fact, most of the men КТО oppose circumcision are themselves circumcised.  They believe that they were harmed as children and they want to prevent other children from being harmed.
